I have tried to find out how to do a manual install of dolphin to circumvent changing the permissions on every folder and file on the server, i am ok with inserting the sql etc. if i have to go through the auto install method then if i change everything back to a secure state afterwards, will that prevent dolphin working? is there a way to do this or should i leave my server fully writeable and sit back and wait.

For some reason I have blown the langauge keys away for the affiliate area, how can I restore these keys. Are they in a file somewhere on my server.

I have looked for a mod that allows you to upload a photo on the join page, and can’t find one. I know that it is a standard feature to be implemented in 6.2, but I have a customer who wants it implemented yesterday. If there is such a mod, please send it to me.

I am having trouble with the whiteboard addon on my site. it just says “connecting” but nothing ever happens. I just moved my site to another server. I uploaded all the files and did a complete install after saving the the complete datbase from my old server and the media folder containing all the members photos. In fact I saved all the folders from the old server and uploaded them overwriting the folders from the new install. I uploaded the database to the new server. The site worked fine but the members photos do not show when you click on members, only 5 members are shown even though there are 34 members and just one photo shows. I would like some advice on why the phoros don’t show.

We use Dolphin in our local network and when there is no internet connection the “unregistered” footer with Dolphin and Orca links appears. Is there any way to get rid of it?

To edit “site stats” block look in inc/design.inc.php - locate the following: function getSiteStat($sMode = ”) and then comment out what you don’t want to use.

To remove the links under “members online” in the search results from clicking “online” link in a users “my account” page, edit out the links in the file “searchrow.html” in the tmpl_uni folder located within the templates folder.
